This Committee is intended to assist with coordination of the ABA’s community outreach efforts, including the annual Christmas Toy Drive and annual Backpack Drive, with the goal of helping those in the community less fortunate. 

Our main activities are:

  1. Assist with collection of supplies for the ABA Annual Backpack Drive in August
  2. Work at the schools distributing the supplies to children at the Annual Backpack Drive
  3. Solicit Toys for the Annual Toy Drive in December
  4. Distribute toys at multiple charitable organizations
  5. Help plan Christmas Party and distribute toys at Sunshine Acres orphanage in December
  6. Vet applications for LDF annual community service project
  7. Work at CFLA Annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat Event

2023 ABA COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

Our mission is to give back to the Phoenix metropolitan community through charitable projects and endeavors for organizations focused on the needs of children and families.  If your organization is in need of construction assistance, please e-mail this completed form by January 20, 2023 to elange@azbuilders.org

 

To qualify for the ABA’s Community Service Project, you must meet the following qualifications:

  •      Organization must be a 501c3
  •      If a permit is required for the work, this must be secured prior to submission of application. If you do not know if a permit is required, please contact Erica Lange. **
  •      Project must be located within the Phoenix metropolitan area.
  •      Estimated value of project should be $10,000 – $100,000.
  •      Ideal projects include varying scopes of work from at least 3-4 trades, including: painting, flooring repairs, drywall, electrical, HVAC, masonry work, mechanical work, renovations, roofing repairs, ceiling repairs. Other types of activities will be considered, but should be minimal.
  •      Construction activities are typically planned April – November, but will accommodate organization’s schedule during these months.
  •       Please attach your organization’s most recent consolidated balance sheet.
