In my role as President & Owner of J.B. Steel, I most enjoy problem solving.  Every construction project offers its own unique challenges.  It is great to have the opportunity to help our customers solve those challenges.  We recently had a project that involved lifting a 310′ long steel truss weighing over 430,000 pounds.  This lift involved a great deal of planning and problem solving to ensure that it was completed safely and successfully.

I joined the ABA in 2004 because it represents the Best of the Best companies in the construction industry.  The companies encompass the entire industry including architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and professional services.

The ABA offers a variety of training that would be cost prohibitive for individual companies to conduct themselves.  By pooling resources, we are able to participate in high quality training and educational seminars at reasonable costs.Watch movie online The Transporter Refueled (2015)

The ABA provides our company with exposure and networking opportunities.  The ABA offers many opportunities to meet and interact with customers on an informal basis.  It is great to have the chance to develop relationships outside the heat of the day to day business.

I spent over 23 years working for Fortune 500 companies in a variety of general management, engineering and manufacturing roles.  In 2004, our family purchased J.B. Steel and I entered the construction industry for the first time.  It has been a great experience.

My wife and partner Michelle and I have four children ranging in age from 9 to 24.  They keep us out of trouble in our “free” time.  I also enjoy cycling, physical fitness activities and reading.

My personal and work philosophies are:  Never quit. No matter how big the challenge, always keep moving forward.
The ABA has and continues to have a positive impact on our business.  I would encourage anyone in the construction industry to consider joining the ABA.
