Eric Buchholz installed as Southern Arizona Chairman of Arizona Builders Alliance

 

April 27, 2015 – Arizona Builders Alliance installed Eric Buchholz, of Sun Mechanical Contracting, as Southern Arizona Chairman.  The new leadership team also includes CORE Construction’s Fred Knapp.  The two were sworn in at the 21st annual ABA Installation Dinner on Friday, April 17th, at the Tucson Country Club.  More than 200 attended the event, including Tucson Mayor Jonathon Rothschild and Marana Mayor Ed Honea.  Outgoing Chairman Brad Lloyd, Lloyd Construction was honored along with the leadership team that included committee chairs and industry advisors.

 

Mr. Buchholz is the Director of Operations with Sun Mechanical Contracting.  Sun Mechanical Contracting fabricates, installs and maintains mechanical systems for commercial construction, including hospitals, laboratories, universities, hotels, manufacturers, public utilities, defense contractors and others.  Mechanical systems include: plumbing, piping, HVAC, fabricated sheet metal, and fire protection.

 

Chairman Buchholz recognized Jamie Olding, owner of Building Excellence, LLC, as the 2015 ABA Volunteer of the Year.  Olding led the efforts at last year’s 20th annual Volunteer Day at Faith Lutheran School in Tucson, which included more than $175,000 in renovations.

 

Buchholz also announced the recipient of the 21st annual ABA Volunteer Day as Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus!  The scope of work and planning will be lead by Volunteer Day Co-Chairs Mark Riggi, Millwork by Design, and Mike Johnson, Chestnut Building and Design.  This year’s event will culminate on Saturday, December 5.
