Electrical Workers Bring Holiday Cheer To Mesa Students

Students at a Mesa school had a happy holiday party thanks to Rosendin, the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company, that provided 19 children with over 55 gifts as a part of its Adopt-A-Classroom event.

The second-grade classroom at Sequoia Elementary received thoughtfully packaged gifts on December 16 donated by the electrical contractors.

“Arriving in the classroom with personalized presents from each student’s wish list was a thrill,” said Krystal Carraway, Rosendin’s Business Development Manager.

“It was incredibly rewarding to see their expressions when we were finally able to distribute the gifts we had been collecting for weeks. Every year, I look forward to this time of year when we can work with our construction industry partners to bring smiles to the faces of so many children,” Carraway said.

Rosendin aided with the early morning Christmas festivities for the class, which featured a variety of fun and exciting activities for the children, such as arts and crafts projects, a visit from Santa, a gift exchange, and a cheerful meal of pizza for lunch. Pokémon cards, clothing, an Adidas soccer ball, Paw Patrol toys, LOL dolls, and walkie-talkies were among the presents delivered to the kids.

The holiday classroom event is part of a broader effort to provide holiday joy to children and families, which coincides with the Arizona Builders Alliance‘s (ABA) annual toy drive. This effort brings together Arizona’s construction industry to build a special Christmas for hundreds of children in need.

Most recently, Rosendin helped gather truckloads of presents and toys for the Santo Niño Catholic Community in Phoenix and Sunshine Residential Homes in Glendale. These organizations help children who have been separated from their parents, have suffered abuse and neglect, or whose families cannot afford to buy Christmas presents. Additionally, these groups will distribute extra items above their needs to other similar organizations, increasing the donations’ impact.
