Behavioral Health, Phoenix is one of the first Medical Opportunity Zone investments in the country and is desperately needed in the community. The Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Phoenix will open in 2020 and is expected to bring 80 high-income jobs into the area. Project description: The Northwest Fire Rescue District Station No. 337 project, built for Northwest Fire District, included the new construction of a light duty fire station to serve Marana, AZ. The facility contains apparatus bays, support areas, living spaces, offices, a kitchen, and dorm rooms. The fire station was constructed of a slab on grade foundation, a masonry structure with metal frame, and a TPO and metal canopy roof. An exterior of masonry block, stucco and metal panel completed the construction. The Northwest Fire Rescue District Station No. 337 provides a modern environment for the first responders serving the Dove Mountain area.

Project Description: This project involves the new construction for a single-story public library that is located adjacent to school campuses in Sahuarita, Arizona. The design has a simple façade for the main, north-facing entrance, but as a rock with crystals, the back of the library (what you will see from Sahuarita Rd) will feature two glassed spaces that will project out from the building. By day, the towers will provide natural light and views of the Santa Rita Mountains. At night, the glass towers will appear almost like beacons welcoming people in. The building materials and landscaping will represent Sahuarita’s history of mining and agriculture.

Project description: Walter Douglas Elementary School is undergoing significant renovations. The flight-themed campus added a 40,000 SF, two-story building that provides 24 new classrooms, maker spaces, a media center, and computer lab! The new building elements will be reminiscent of aircraft construction by featuring a metal exterior. The original building architecture was designed by John A. Shaver who utilized thin-shell concrete roofs in a circular classroom pod giving the structures a clamshell-like effect. Flowing Wells Unified School District committed to maintaining this rich history and two roofs were incorporated in the redesign of the campus.
