Privacy Policy

The Arizona Builders Alliance (“ABA”) is committed to protecting the privacy of your information. This Privacy Policy applies to information obtained on or through digital services provided by ABA. These services include the ABA website and any other ABA online or mobile website, application, or digital platform (each a “Digital Service” and collectively “Digital Services”). This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide through the Digital Services. It also outlines our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

Personal Data is information that relates to an identified or identifiable person. An identifiable person is an individual who can be identified directly or indirectly through an identification number or through one or more factors specific to that person.

Non-Personal Data is information that does not identify a specific individual.

Information may be either Personal Data or Non-Personal Data.

Your Consent

By visiting or using any ABA Digital Service, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. You consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy. You also consent to any actions we take with respect to your information as long as those actions comply with this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Information you provide when contacting us or interacting with our Digital Services may include Personal Data such as your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address. We may also collect certain business information such as your company name or job title.

Our Digital Services are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 16. If you are under 16, do not use this website or provide any information through it. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 16 without verified parental consent, we will delete the information. If you believe we may have information from a child under 16, please contact us using the information at the end of this policy.

How We Use Information

Digital Services are hosted in the United States but may be accessed from other locations. Personal Data provided through these services is treated as business contact information.

We may use Personal Data to respond to your requests, support marketing and membership initiatives, share information about ABA programs, provide updates, communicate service information, inform you of events, or share other relevant notices. We may also use the information to improve the Digital Services, customize your experience, or provide content that may be more relevant to you. We will also use information for any other purpose that you consent to.

We may send you email or other communications on behalf of ABA. These communications may include newsletters, membership updates, event notices, and general organizational information. All email communications will include an option for you to opt out of future messages.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, share, or rent your Personal Data to third parties. Unless required by law or permitted by you, we only share Personal Data with ABA affiliates or service providers who act on ABA’s behalf to complete the activities described in this policy. These affiliates and service providers are required to follow this Privacy Policy when handling Personal Data.

Cookies

Cookies are small data files stored on your device by your web browser. Cookies help us recognize returning visitors to our Digital Services. We may use cookies to record information about the pages you visit and actions you take on the site. This may help us improve the user experience or tailor content for returning visitors.

We may also use information gathered through cookies to compile statistical information about website usage, including the amount of time users spend on our site and the pages visited most frequently. These statistics do not include Personal Data.

Storage and Security

We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to help protect Personal Data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Digital Services are hosted in an environment that uses firewalls and other technology intended to help prevent unauthorized access. However, no system can guarantee complete security. By using our Digital Services, you acknowledge that we cannot guarantee the security of Personal Data and that you provide information at your own risk.

Retention of Information

ABA retains information according to organizational policies and for as long as it is needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Information may also be retained longer if required by law. Once information is no longer required, it is destroyed in accordance with ABA guidelines. You may contact us using the information at the end of this policy to request additional details about retention practices.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. These rights include the ability to request information about the personal information we collect and how it is used and shared. You may also have the right to request deletion or correction of your personal information, as well as the right to opt out of certain sharing practices. You also have the right to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

If you wish to make a CCPA-related request, please contact us using the information at the end of this policy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on our Digital Services. If we make material changes to how we handle Personal Data, we will place a notice on the website or contact you using the email address associated with your account. The effective date of the updated policy will be listed at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have a current email address for you and for reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically to check for updates.

Enforcement

We use a self-assessment approach to ensure compliance with this Privacy Policy. We periodically review and verify that the policy is accurate, comprehensive, clearly displayed, and fully implemented. We encourage anyone with concerns to contact us using the information provided below. We will review and attempt to resolve any issue related to the use or disclosure of Personal Data.
