The Supervisory Training Program (STP) is a construction-focused leadership and supervisory training curriculum developed by contractors for contractors. What You Will Learn

Unit 1 | Leadership and Motivation
Covers the foundations of effective supervision, focusing on how construction leaders inspire teams, build trust, and motivate workers on the job site.

Unit 2 | Communication
Builds the communication skills supervisors need to lead effectively, including clear direction, active listening, conflict resolution, and job site coordination.

Unit 3 | Planning and Scheduling
Introduces planning and scheduling techniques that save time, reduce costs, and improve quality throughout the construction process.

Unit 4 | Contract Documents
Explains the purpose and structure of contract documents, the roles of all contracted parties, and how supervisors can use documentation to solve problems and prevent disputes.

Unit 5 | Productivity and Managing Project Costs
Focuses on understanding estimates, tracking actual costs, controlling expenses, and improving productivity to support project timelines and budgets.

Unit 6 | Managing Risk
Covers the supervisor’s role in safety, accident prevention, and loss control, emphasizing practices that reduce risk on the job site.
