YOUNG BUILDERS COUNCIL

The Young Builders Council (YBC) is designed exclusively for construction professionals under 40, offering a peer-driven community for networking, professional growth, and leadership development. With more than 200 members, YBC is one of the largest and most active groups within the Arizona Builders Alliance, dedicated to building the next generation of leaders in construction.

What Members Gain

YBC Committees

Members can also get involved in specialized YBC committees that focus on education, government affairs, membership, outreach, social programming, and scholarships.

Membership Eligibility

To join the Young Builders Council, nominees must:

Be under the age of 40
Work for an ABA member company in good standing
Pay annual dues of $350

EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Mission Statement: Promote our member’s career and personal development by fostering educational opportunities focused on: Trade & Technical Expertise, Administrative & Financial Proficiency, and Interpersonal Skillset Development

SOCIAL COMMITTEE
Mission Statement: Committed to organizing and scheduling networking events for YBC. We create an environment for general contractors, sub-contractors and trade partners to develop relationships that will carry on through their careers. These social events bring the next generation of builders closer together to advance the future of our construction industries.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Mission Statement: Educate and inform the YBC on how the legislative process works and its impact on the construction industry, and to serve as a resource for and link to the greater ABA Legislative Committee. We will learn from and coordinate with the ABA legislative committee, provide updates to the YBC on key legislation that impacts the construction industry, and let YBC members know how they can become involved to voice support for our industry at the legislature. We will also provide educational opportunities to YBC members on legislative and legal topics relevant to the construction industry.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
Mission Statement: To serve as brand ambassadors in order to attract, retain and communicate to prospective and current members the activities of the group and to generally promote and enhance the mission of the Young Builders Council.

OUTREACH COMMITTEE
Mission Statement: To be the hands and feet of the YBC by engaging new young leaders in the construction industry and educating qualified candidates about the fruitful outcome of this chosen career path.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
Mission Statement: Assist interns in the industry with pursuing their education and career goals by providing scholarship funds.

BREWS CREWS COMMITTEE
Mission Statement: Sub-Committee of the Social Committee. To foster the goals of the Social Committee further by creating and facilitating small peer groups withing the YBC based on geographical convenience.
