IT TAKES MORE THAN HARD WORK TO BE HEARD
It Takes Advocacy. Access. A Voice That Carries.

Advocating for Arizona Builders
The ABA is a member-driven alliance working to protect and advance Arizona’s commercial construction industry. Through strong advocacy with federal, state, and local government, we ensure your voice is heard where decisions are made.
Our Policy Priorities
Infrastructure Funding
We encourage smart investment in infrastructure to meet Arizona’s growth and create long-term opportunities for the industry.
Workforce Development
We deliver education and training that build a skilled, job-ready workforce for Arizona’s construction future.
Taxes & Regulations
We advocate for policies that support business growth, encourage innovation, and reduce unnecessary burdens on Arizona’s contractors.
Fair & Open Competition
We promote transparent procurement practices that ensure quality work, fair access, and value for taxpayers.
Right to Work
We support policies that protect worker choice and maintain a competitive, flexible construction environment in Arizona.
Prevailing Wage Mandates
We oppose labor policies that increase costs or limit opportunities for smaller contractors, with a focus on maintaining fairness and flexibility.
Project Delivery Methods
We support a range of project delivery options including design-build and public-private partnerships that improve project outcomes and efficiency.
How We Advocate
Candidate Engagement
We build relationships with elected officials and educate them on the issues that matter most to our members.
PAC Contributions
We operate two Political Action Committees: one that supports pro-industry candidates, and one that advances ballot measures critical to Arizona’s builders, contractors, and workforce.

Advocating for Arizona’s Construction Industry
Our PACs give members a unified way to influence the decisions shaping our jobs, our workforce, and the future of the industry.

Member-Driven Advocacy
ABA’s Government Affairs Committee helps shape our advocacy agenda.
Before the legislative session begins, members meet with key lawmakers to introduce ABA and share our top issues. Once the session is underway, the committee meets frequently to review new bills, take positions, and work closely with ABA staff and our governmental relations team to influence outcomes.
Influence That Delivers
ABA works with government relations experts to expand our reach at the Capitol and strengthen our ability to advocate for the construction industry. We also partner with trade associations and chambers of commerce to align priorities and amplify our collective impact.
How You Can Get Involved
ABA’s Government Affairs Committee is open to members ready to engage and help shape Arizona’s construction future. The committee meets regularly and welcomes active participants.
