Travel Logistics Timeline | Tuesday, September 29th – Thursday, October 1st

TUESDAY – SEPTEMBER 29 (Arrival + Welcome Reception)

• ABA BOD arrive in San Diego (or some may choose to arrive early Wednesday morning)
  • Travel Time: Airport to Hotel Transfer ~20 minutes
  • Hotel check-in: Courtyard Marriott – 8651 Spectrum Center Blvd, San Diego, CA 92123

5:30 PM – 7:30 PM | Welcome Reception

• Location: Casa Machado, 3750 John J Montgomery Dr, San Diego, CA 92123
  • ~ 8 minute drive from hotel to Casa Machado
  • Indoor/outdoor patio, light bites & drinks, casual atmosphere

WEDNESDAY – SEPTEMBER 30 (Arrival, Sailing Activity, BOD Retreat + Dinner)

• ABA BOD arrive in San Diego (if not arriving on Tuesday)
  • Hotel Address: Courtyard Marriott – 8651 Spectrum Center Blvd, San Diego, CA 92123
  • Travel Time: Airport to Hotel Transfer ~20 minutes

9:00 AM | DEPARTURE FOR MORNING SAIL | Activity for ABA BOD

• Travel Time: Hotel to Marina ~25 minutes (Accounting for any traffic or delays with Ubers/Lyft)
  • Arrival at the marina around ~9:30-9:45 AM

10 AM – 12 PM | MORNING SAIL | Activity for ABA BOD

• 2 Hour Sailing outing with SAIL SAN DIEGO – at Americas Cup Harbor

12:30 PM | DEPARTURE FROM MARINA TO ABA BOD Meeting

• Travel Time: Americas Cup Harbor – BIA California Credit Coast Union Building: ~25 minutes
  • Arrival time ~1:00 PM

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM | ABA Board Meeting & 2027 Strategic Planning

• Lunch will be provided

5:00 PM | DEPARTURE FROM ABA Board Meeting & 2027 Strategic Planning

• Travel Time: ~15 minute walk (0.7 miles) from BIA back to hotel (or 2-minute drive)
  • Arrival back at the hotel around ~5:15 PM | Time to change before dinner

6:00 PM | DEPARTURE FROM HOTEL to Evening Dinner (Family Style) ABA BOD & San Diego Board

• Travel Time (from the Hotel to the Butcher Shop): ~4 minute drive (or ~20 minute walk)

6:30 PM – 8:30 PM |Evening Dinner (Family Style) ABA BOD & San Diego Board

• Location: The Butcher Shop, 5255 Kearny Villa Rd, San Diego, CA 92123

8:30 PM |Dinner Concludes

• Travel Time (from the Butcher Shop to Hotel): ~4 minute drive (or 20 minute walk)

THURSDAY – OCTOBER 1st (Departures)

Travel | Return to Phoenix or enjoy a San Diego Weekend!

• Hotel Transfer to Airport Transfer ~20 minutes
