YBC Builder’s Banter 2026 | Session 2

Builder’s Banter is a course created to help construction professionals strengthen their public speaking skills.

While not everyone will deliver formal speeches or present to large audiences, most of us will eventually represent our companies in project interviews, coordination meetings, or multi‑trade partner discussions – moments where clear, confident communication truly matters. At some point, each of us will speak in front of our peers, and being prepared makes all the difference.

If you’re looking to build confidence and communicate more effectively in group settings, Builder’s Banter is designed for you.

Throughout the course, you’ll learn practical strategies to:

▪ Manage public‑speaking anxiety
▪ Avoid common pitfalls
▪ Strengthen your delivery and use visual aids effectively
▪ Practice impromptu speaking across a variety of topics
▪ Apply constructive feedback to support your growth
▪ Recognize and build on your strengths to boost confidence and refine your skills

By the end of the program, you’ll walk away with the tools and confidence to communicate with clarity, credibility, and impact.

Important Notes
▪ Registration is limited to 20 participants.
▪ Attendance to all six courses is mandatory to receive a completion certificate.
▪ Plan for 1.5-hour sessions on class days and 2-hour sessions on speech days
