Leadership development forum Community Service Project

Leadership Development Forum Community Service Project
The Leadership Development Forum Community Service Project was created to make a meaningful impact by investing time, talent, and resources into charitable initiatives that strengthen our communities.
Through this effort, member companies and industry professionals work together to improve facilities and support nonprofit organizations serving children and families throughout Arizona.
This year, we are proud to partner with OCJ Kids.
About OCJ Kids
OCJ Kids is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting Arizona’s foster and at-risk youth through practical resources, mentorship, and life-changing opportunities.
Their mission is to ensure every young person feels seen, supported, and prepared for a successful future. Through trauma-informed programs and personalized support, OCJ Kids helps youth navigate difficult transitions with dignity, stability, and hope.
What sets OCJ Kids apart is its hands-on, relationship-driven approach. By partnering with group homes, caseworkers, volunteers, and community organizations, they are able to respond quickly to urgent needs while building meaningful, long-term connections that help foster youth thrive.
Their Programs
A2P (Apprenticeship to Permanency Program
The A2P Program helps young adults build a pathway toward long-term career success in the skilled trades. Focused on construction and trade-related industries, the program connects foster youth with apprenticeship opportunities, industry mentors, career readiness resources, and employers committed to creating sustainable futures through meaningful employment.
Phone Program
Staying connected can change a life. Their Phone Program provides young adults aging out of foster care with a free phone and up to six months of service, helping them maintain access to employment opportunities, housing resources, case management support, and critical communication during their transition to independence.
Duffle Bag Program
Many foster youth transition into independent living with very few personal belongings or household essentials. Their Duffle Bag Program provides immediate necessities such as towels, pillows, bedding, shower curtains, hygiene items, and other everyday essentials to help young adults begin their next chapter with confidence and dignity.
Young Adult Mentor Program
Every young person deserves someone in their corner. Through their Mentor Program, youth are paired with caring mentors who provide encouragement, guidance, accountability, and ongoing support as they navigate adulthood, personal growth, and life decisions.
Community Events & Engagement
Throughout the year, OCJ Kids hosts community events, volunteer opportunities, and outreach initiatives that bring together supporters, industry partners, and local organizations to create meaningful experiences and positive impact for foster youth across Arizona.
Additional Support Services
Their support extends beyond individual programs. They also provide assistance with basic needs, life skills development, job readiness, and personalized relational support tailored to the unique journey of each young adult they serve.
How You Can Help
This community service project is about more than improving a space. It’s about creating opportunity, restoring dignity, and investing in the future of Arizona’s foster youth.
Through donations, sponsorships, volunteer efforts, and community partnerships, we can continue expanding the resources and support these young people deserve.
We invite you to follow the project journey through our progress photos, videos, and updates, and thank you for helping us make a lasting impact in the lives of foster and at-risk youth.
